TIBA’s SPARK Cloud Solution Manages Mixed Use Parking Facilities in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO (June 19, 2018) – Kansas City, Missouri selected TIBA Parking Systems’ cloud-based management and control platform, SPARK, to drive eight mixed-use facility garages. The facilities are installed in and around the KC Live and Convention Center districts and total 42 lanes.

 

The city launched the project in June of 2017 and with the help of Fisher Parking & Security, a TIBA Value Added Reseller, it has been successfully deployed for six months.

 

“The equipment is consistent and reliable. We monitor it closely via SPARK and we have consistently been able to process tickets with over a 99% read rate. The systems were built with automation in mind,” stated Matthew Muckenthaler, Towne Park Senior Account Manager. “Our revenues have increased dramatically because we can keep the gates down and equipment functional.”

 

SPARK, TIBA’s cloud hosted solution, allows operators and owners to manage multiple garages effectively. Operators can manage numerous garages as one larger super-entity or multiple single facilities, each with its own pricing and tariff structure. Control room operators can remotely monitor the status of each lane device and help drivers who require further assistance when using the parking facilities.

TIBA Opens Direct Office in California to be Led by Malloy Pohrer

LOS ANGELES, CA (April 17, 2018) – TIBA Parking Systems is launching a local office in California to serve Los Angeles and San Francisco.

This TIBA initiative will be spearheaded by Malloy Pohrer as the General Manager of TIBA in California. Pohrer joins TIBA with 25 years of executive level experience in the parking industry.

Prior to joining TIBA, Pohrer managed all California business activity as Vice President with Amano McGann.

Pohrer began his career in the parking industry in 1993 as a sales engineer with Amano Cincinnati in Atlanta. He then moved into operations as a Branch Manager and later became Vice-President at McGann Associates where he was responsible for the startup of multiple branch locations. In 2007, he was promoted to Vice President of Branch Operations and oversaw the day-to-day business operations of all 21 branches in the US.  Pohrer was subsequently promoted again to the position of Sr. Vice President of Business Operations.

TIBA ParkBlue to Change Traditional Access Control and Parking

TIBA Parking Systems is changing the traditional way of access control and parking in the industry with the worldwide release of ParkBlue.

ParkBlue is a service application that enables cloud-based management of parking garages, frictionless physical access to parking garages on any PARCS system and a mobile application, as well as an SDK to facilitate reservation, navigation, and payment for parking. TIBA Launches ParkBlue – Parking Access for any Parking Garage

The Ohio State University selects TIBA Parking Systems & Signature Control Systems to implement new Parking Revenue and Control System

COLUMBUS, OHIO, December 15, 2017 – TIBA Parking Systems, in association with Signature Control Systems, has been selected by CampusParc to install a new Parking Revenue and Access Control System (PARCS) in The Ohio State University parking garages.

CampusParc, operating and maintaining Ohio State’s parking system under a 50-year lease since September 2012, elected to replace all 98 lanes of an existing Parking and Revenue Control System. The Ohio State parking system is currently one of the largest of its kind. Its 16 garages, with approximately 13,000 parking spaces, along with an additional 23,000 spaces in 188 surface lots, are spread over 78 million square feet on the Columbus campus.
